Join our Games Boat on the Utrecht Canal Pride 2022!

After 3 years, we’re excited to announce we’re joining the Utrecht Canal Pride again! Our colorful pride boat hosts up to 50 queer game developers and allies, breaking stereotypes by showing the game industry’s most vibrant side! 

About the theme

In the last years, we have dressed as our favorite game characters, and we’ll keep doing that. However, it’s time to push the boundaries. Participants are invited to experiment with the gender stereotype of their favorite game character. What would a feminine Link, a masculine Princess Peach, or an androgynous Aloy look like?

Expect a colorfully decorated boat where you will see game characters in a different light. A boat where everyone is welcome to show their own interpretations on those characters. We celebrate games as an expression of diversity in gender, sexuality and love. You’re in charge of the controller, it is really YOUR party.

As a non-profit organization run by driven volunteers, Games [4Diversity] relies on the support of companies and individuals to make the pride boat a successful event for queer game developers. All donations go directly towards boat rent, equipment, decoration, and drinks. We typically fund about 40% ourselves and 30% is covered by ticket sales.
